    Hello Lourdes

We are in the enter of the region of Languedoc which is the largest (and best) wine growing region of France. The towns and villages are all prosperous and growing, new restaurants and services are opening and this is not just for tourism. Pezenas is a beautiful Rennaisssnce town just ten minutes from us, Montpellier is the city in france voted for 20 years as the most vibrant and the place where most French people wish to live and only 35 minutes away.

Agde, on the Mediterranean, only 12 minutes from us, has fantastic night life and offers everything under the sun (and a lot more) to suit everyones taste.

Within an hour there is every sort of environment – mountains for rock-climbing, white water rivers, the vast Camargue with wild horses and bulls – the driest places in France (and the wettest place on top of a mountain where (on a very lcear day) you can see from Italy to Spain) -sabdy beaches 25 km long – sailing – it is a long list.

Locally we have horse riding, golf, tennis (even cricket clubs) flying and gliding schools, fishing and cycling is good with empty roads with beautiful scenery.

Wine trails – local foods – or just relax by our pool and walk in the local fields and woodlands

    Hope to see you here

    best wishes

    Tony

History is everywhere, for 2500 years this region has been home for all civilizations since the ancient greeks – early man lived here half a million years ago (before the Internet) and there are museums with their remains and artifacts.

If only I am not so far and not being tied down here for family reasons, believe me, this will be the place to go for a peaceful and lovely vacation… One day, I promise you, I will come and stay a whole month or two. I have to discover this region and being from Canada where we have lot of space, lakes and mountains I am sure I will enjoy the outdoor and my stay in Villa Roquette… I discovered the west of France through the Chemin de St-Jacques de Compostelle. I started it at the village of St Jean Pied de Port, and I came to love the Basque Region. Now I want to know about your region.

Oh! you in Europe you have a lot of opportunities to ‘walk in the History book’ and touch it, through monuments and places to visit, oh! how I envy you. You will see me one day…coming in a rented car ready to go and discover all the secret places unknown to tourists. I know I will be very happy there at Villa Roquette.

If you are free, have time and can easily travel , why not go to Villa Roquette… Let me know how much you loved it. Life is too short, enjoy it.

    Regards,
    Amira, from Montreal, Canada

You will be made very welcome Amira – I agree, it is magical walking through local vineyards and coming across a stretch of Roman road, still intact, which was build over 2000 years ago.
