Our address is –
Tony and Carole Tidswell
146 rue de la Republique
34290 Montblanc France
The best way to see exactly where we are is to go to our own Googlemaps page – there you can see the exact location of our road, we are slightly up from the pin, towards the village center.
From this Googlemaps page you can get excellent driving instructions, see satellite photos of our house and garden and find how close we are to the Mediterranean and al the beautiful countryside around us.
Communications by road, rail and air are very good, the new airport in Beziers, with daily flights to several UK destinations, is only 20 minutes from our home, the International airport in Montpellier is under an hour, and we are close to two Motorway connections, the A9 (Barcelona to Avignon) and the A75 to Paris. The TGV train stops in Agde, only 12 minutes from us.
From the A9
Take Exit 34 for Agde and Pezenas. At the roundabout take the road to Pezenas and you will then see a signpost to Montblanc. Head for the village, go straight over the roundabout and on your right you will see a large building which is the Cave Co-Operative. Turn right after this into rue Marcellin Albert. At the end turn left into rue de la République and from here we are the second house on the left with large cedar trees in the front garden.
From A75
Take Exit 62 and follow the signposts for Montblanc. When you get to the traffic lights in the village go straight on and take the first turning left, just before a zebra crossing, into rue Marcellin Albert. At the end turn left into rue de la République and from here we are the second house on the left with large cedar trees in the front garden.

Although our house number is 146, this actually means we are only 146 meters from the center of the village, there are only 20 houses in our street.
The village of Montblanc has good shops, including two bakers, a butcher and a small general store, the bar/cafe is very friendly and serves meals lunchtimes.
Our home is an oasis of calm in the center of the village, it is the perfect French way of life, I can walk to the boulangerie in the morning and the bread is still warm when I put it on the table for breakfast.
We have a secluded front garden and private gardens and terraced at the rear of our house. A nice feature is our pool which is securely fenced with a large sunbathing area.
