Lucky Finds

A beautiful word in France is Trouvailles meaning “Lucky Finds” – A good name for a curiosity shop, or a stall on a “flea market”.

Walking the dog I often have “trouvailles”, finding curiosities in the fields and byways around our home in Montblanc.

I sometimes take photos of these trouvailles and will publish them here.

Here are a few I saw this week

China Plates tossed into a ditch

China Plates - just tossed in a ditch, clearly they were intact when thrown there - Why?

Charred Logs

Massive charred logs in the middle of a field - too heavy to move

Tree

Just a Tree - but signaling the end of Winter perhaps?

Bed and Breakfast in Languedoc

Carole and I came to live in Languedoc, here in the South of France nearly 20 years ago. We have raised our family in ancient homes where other families have lived for over a thousand years.

It is a beautiful region with with the longest Mediterranean coastline in France.

Languedoc has everything, mountains, rivers, skiing, water sports, wildlife.

Come and share our wonderful home.
