pezenas is the nearest largish town to us in Villa Roquette  – steeped in history, a Roman town and the capital of the Languedoc region for centuries.

Pezenas has been a magnet for artists and craftspeople forhundreds of yeats – the Princes of the Rennaissance made their homes her and were served by jewellers clothes makers and hatmakers.

A magical little shop in the heart of the old town makes fascinating hats , when we came here many years ago, carole was one of the first customers. They are good hats, all hand crafted.
